Sheer curtains can be very nice in a room but they do not offer much protection. They are more aesthetic and can be supported with Venetian blinds to add the extra coverage the window may need. The blinds can be purchased in many different colors, textures and widths. The veins may be many inches wide or just small mini blinds that are narrow. They can be color coordinated exactly with your room and other window treatments. Some blinds even have veins that allow you to insert matching strips of wallpaper so they appear as part of the wall when drawn closed.
