Authentic Bamboo Cutting Board now Part of Innovative Kitchen Workstation |
Authentic Bamboo Cutting Board now Part of Innovative Kitchen WorkstationAmerican Standard’s innovative, affordable Lakeland® kitchen workstation now offers a bamboo cutting board as part of its innovative accessories collection. Bamboo’s popularity is on the rise for home decorating, but it is also increasingly used in structural applications. The dense cellular structure of the reeds creates a surprisingly strong and durable material. Lakeland’s bamboo cutting board is actually harder than maple, yet offers an ecological—and economical—alternative to hardwoods. The entire Lakeland workstation is similarly smart, easing kitchen chores and storage without straining budgets. Lakeland’s large-capacity 33-inch by 22-inch single-bowl fits in a standard double-bowl cutout. A simple weekend replacement project is all you need to enjoy the luxury of a sink that is large enough to accommodate large griddles or cookie sheets. Lakeland’s accessories include an exclusive removable second bowl, complete with its own drain, which instantly converts Lakeland to a double-bowl sink. The Lakeland second bowl also makes it easy to bus dishes from the table, the time-saving cleanup tip that every restaurant knows. A colander, dish rack, grid and utensil holders round out Lakeland’s dishwasher-safe accessories, along with the new bamboo cutting board. When kitchen chores are done, all of the Lakeland accessories fit neatly inside the removable second bowl, with the cutting board serving as a lid. Lakeland’s clever accessories rack holds everything neatly out of sight directly under the sink. The accessories rack mounts to the bottom of the sink, creating its own storage solution in a previously unusable space, using its own provided mounting hardware. The Lakeland system also includes a choice of two single-handle faucets: one version has a convenient pull-out spray spout, while the other has a cast brass spout. Lakeland faucets are available in either Polished Chrome or Stainless and have a lifetime warranty backing its finish and drip-free performance. The Lakeland sink is made from American Standard’s proprietary Americast material, which is half the weight of cast iron with a more durable glossy porcelain finish in a range of colors. Lakeland can be installed as a drop-in or undercounter sink, with list prices starting at $300. Accessories pricing starts at $40. Also see: kitchen furniture componentsAuthor Notes:
