New Paperez™ Wallcovering from Eisenhart Debuts for Paste-the-Wall Application

Paperez™(paper-ease), Eisenhart's new nonwoven wallcovering, is making its debut in February as a complete wallcovering system, designed for paste-the-wall application.

Paperez is an unpasted cellulose polyester substrate that is being specified with Roman's EZ Hang adhesive, which has been specially formulated, tested and proven for paste-the wall application.

The new wallcovering is being introduced on Eisenhart's new Terrazzo™ collection of textural natural designs that includes marbles, mosaics, leaf and harlequin patterns, and architectural elements that are in tune with current trends in home decor.

User-Friendly

Paperez has been created to overcome the most common do-it-yourselfers' objections to wallpapering by making the process much more user-friendly. With its paste-the-wall application method, Paperez eliminates sloppy water trays and messy applications of adhesive to the back of the paper. It is neat, easy and quick to hang. It provides excellent results -- and it's completely dry-strippable and environmentally friendly.

"We have made the investment in product development and testing to ensure that Paperez will meet the performance requirements we have set for it," said Forry Eisenhart, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Eisenhart Wallcoverings Co.

Installing Paperez is as simple as applying the EZ Hang adhesive to a properly prepared wall with a clean, conventional paint roller and then hanging the dry sheet of Paperez.

The EZ Hang adhesive has been formulated to dry relatively slowly, giving the installer ample time to position and hang each sheet of wallcovering. If the process is interrupted and the paste dries before the sheet of paper can be hung, simply roll additional paste onto the wall. There is no booking, and no wet or pasted sheets are wasted if the job is interrupted.

An added benefit is that this adhesive is blue when applied to the wall and clear when it dries, making it easy to see where there's coverage.

Excellent Results

The unique cellulose-polyester composition of Paperez imparts characteristics that produce a professional-looking installation and a durable, washable wallcovering that stands up to everyday usage. A heavy, high quality product, Paperez has a tactile feel that is reminiscent of fabric and will have special appeal to designers.

Paperez does not absorb water and will not stretch or shrink, eliminating unsightly seam separations. Paperez does not tear easily, making it easy to wrap around difficult corners and resistant to real world "nicks and dings."

Really, Dry Strippable

Homeowners cite a bad experience removing old wallpaper -- soaking it and peeling it off in little "spitballs" or taking off the top layer of drywall with it -- as one of the primary reasons for deciding not to decorate with wallpaper again. Paperez eliminates that concern because it is 100 percent dry strippable when applied to a properly prepared wall surface with the recommended adhesive. Because Paperez does not tear easily, it can be stripped off the wall cleanly in full sheets.

Environmentally Friendly

Because Paperez has no vinyl (PVC) coating, the wallcovering "breathes." That prevents moisture from being trapped between the wallcovering and the wall, and inhibits the growth of mold or mildew behind the paper. In addition, because Paperez has no PVCs, there is no off-gassing of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Paperez is also Class A fire-rated, making it suitable for light commercial applications.
