Leading Manufacturers Collaborate on Children's Décor Items

It's easier than ever for busy moms to create coordinated looks in their children's rooms, thanks to a new collaboration between California Kids, a major producer of themed bedding for children, and Eisenhart®, a leading wallcovering manufacturer with highly-successful children's collections. California Kids is producing collections of bedding and accessories in patterns to match designs from Eisenhart's new Just Imagine! wallpaper collection for children. The first, based on the Mimi and Fido cats and dogs border pattern, was recently introduced. Seven additional collections are slated for release by the end of 2006.

In addition to matching designs for bedding, accessories and wallpaper to achieve a totally coordinated look, this collaboration makes it easy to change decor as children grow, because the wallpaper is Eisenhart's Paperez® easy on, easy-off wallcovering. Paperez goes on with a hassle-free paste-the-wall technique and, when it's time for a change, strips off easily in full sheets without the use of messy water spray bottles or harsh chemicals.

"Typically, by the time a child is 12 years old, his or her room has been redecorated at least three times" said Delia Glass, president of California Kids. "Using Paperez wallcovering will allow mom to change the decor of her child's room as easily as she changes the linens from season to season." "There are lots of choices in children's bedding and wallcovering," observed Joanne Berwager, sales manager for Eisenhart, "but it's not easy to find coordinating items. This collaboration takes the guesswork out of the coordination process."

Eisenhart's Just Imagine! collection includes gentle, whimsical designs that will put smiles on grown-ups' faces and enchant boys and girls from infants to the hard-to-please "tween" crowd. There are 39 sidewall and 40 border patterns to choose from, including hearts and flowers, cats and dogs, prancing ponies, trucks and fire engines, bugs and flowers, moons and stars, sports motifs and rolling farm hills. Complementing gingham checks, textures, stripes and a delicate floral provide additional design options. Custom name borders are the ultimate way to say "this is my room." Most patterns are offered in several colorways. Each matching California Kids collection will include crib and "big kid" bedding, as well as a variety of accessories. "We're making it easy for mom to transition the room from nursery to first bed, or create a coordinated look in a room shared by siblings of different ages," Glass said.

The Mimi and Fido crib ensemble consists of quilt, bumper pads, fitted sheet, bedskirt, crib pillow and musical mobile. Twin and full-size bedding sets include duvet, sheets and pillow sham. Coordinating accessories include a rug, window coverings, a hamper, a diaper stacker, a lamp and a decorative pillow. Crib ensembles have a suggested retail price of $229.95. Twin and full-size bedding sets have a suggested retail price of $399.95. Just Imagine! sidewall patterns are sold in 27-inch wide double roll bolts that are equivalent to two single rolls. Suggested retail prices range from $34.99 to $39.99 per border spool or sidewall single roll.
