Company Kicks Off Ten Year Anniversary With Biggest DTS Demo DVD Ever

DTS (Digital Theater Systems, Inc.), the pioneer in digital multi-channel surround sound speakers, will be holding theater-style demonstrations of DTS surround sound technologies during the 2003 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, January 9-12. Exhibiting at the Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall Meeting Room #N251, DTS will highlight DTS Neo:6, DTS-ES, DTS 96/24 and DTS Interactive applications for the consumer electronics and entertainment industries. Celebrating ten years since the company’s founding in 1993, DTS will also be giving away copies of a brand new DVD-V demo disc (#7,) the most feature-rich DTS demo disc to date.

The hosted demonstration will feature music, DVD and game clips that show off core DTS multi-channel sound technologies:

· DTS Neo:6 – Provides up to six channels of matrix decoding from stereo matrix material and decodes Extended Surround content.
· DTS-ES – The only digital audio format capable of delivering 6.1 channels of discrete audio in the consumer electronics market. DTS-ES content is also fully backwards-compatible with DTS decoders that are not Extended Surround-equipped.
· DTS 96/24 – Offers an unprecedented level of audio quality for multi-channel sound on DVD-Video. DTS 96/24 is fully backwards-compatible to all DTS decoders.
· DTS Interactive – The only solution for delivering up to 5.1 discrete channels of surround sound during real-time game-play for the PlayStationÒ2.

Visitors to the LVCC meeting room who attend the demo will be eligible to receive DTS’ new demo DVD-V #7, which features more clips than any previous DTS demo disc. The DVD includes DTS 5.1-channel clips from The Bourne Identity, Behind Enemy Lines, The Fast and The Furious and Fantasia 2000. The disc will also include DTS-ES matrix clips of E.T. and The Minority Report, as well as DTS 96/24 clip from Chronos. Additionally, demo disc #7 also provides DTS-ES discrete music video clips from Sheila Nicholls, Insane Clown Posse and other DTS Entertainment artists.
