IMAGINATIVE PATTERNS TO CREATE A SPECIAL ATMOSPHERE IN IMPERIAL’S A KITCHEN SO BEAUTIFUL SPECIALTY WALLCOVERING
Meandering leaves and vines, whimsical borders of wine bottles, bathtubs, laundry on the line and lighthouses – just a few of the diverse selection in “A Kitchen so Beautiful,” Imperial’s newest specialty wallcovering collection for the kitchen and bath.
“The kitchen is the heart of the home, a warm welcoming place where good times are shared, and memories that last forever are made, “ said Carolyn Resar, vice president of marketing and design for Imperial Home Decor Group. “This collection reflects this philosophy with a wide variety of choices to fit any style or mood, from traditional florals and plaids to bolder botanicals.”
To literally make the kitchen a window onto the world, Imperial’s “A Kitchen So Beautiful” offers several specialty wallcovering papers. Three Scenic Window Views are 36” by 33” wall murals – of a garden, a seaside and a mountain lake which can add life and interest to rooms without a window. They can be accented with the natural, realistic look of ivy border, or ivy hearts that also can go over a doorway or window, and ivy corner pieces which make ideal accents around windows, doorways and archways.
“The wall murals create a decorative focal point in a kitchen, bedroom or bathroom,” said Resar. “The murals, borders and hearts coordinate with a rich wallcovering of ivy-covered vines and small pink flowers. The specialty wallcovering pieces enable the consumer to take a creative role in the design.”
The writings on the wall – different styles of handwriting and a variety of clever sayings -- is one of the specialty wallcoverings with the bath in mind. To add some fun, there’s an outhouse border for the bath as well. And yet another pattern has small bouquets of pink roses and a fanciful coordinating border of old-fashioned bathtubs adorned with flowers.
For the kitchen, fruit plays a dominant role. Wallcoverings with grapes on vines coordinate with two borders – the first is wine bottles on a shelf and the second has an assortment of overlapping wine labels. There’s also a pattern with small green and red apples to match a border of life-size apples on vines. Tilework and coffeepots, utensils and plates are other subjects for wallcoverings in this eclectic and unusual collection.
